Welcome to the new and improved Montreal Canadiens Fan Forum!
Any user posting on this Canadiens message board implicitly agrees to the following code of conduct, regardless of whether it has been read.
1. By using the Montreal Canadiens Fan Forum, you agree not to post any of the following material:
• Any communication that is intended to harass, belittle, attack, or threaten other users of the forum
• Material with the intent to elicit negative responses (flaming)
• Statements that are bigoted, hateful, or racially offensive
• Any communication that contains spam or unauthorized copyrighted material
• Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them
• Unauthorized personal information (name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc.) of other posters, players, or fans
• Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation
2. You also agree to abide by the following rules:
You will not create a new topic if that topic or a similar/related one already exists.
You will send all suggestions, complaints, etc. to an administrator or moderator via private message. If applicable, please include a link to the topic in question. Messages of this nature posted on the boards will be ignored and deleted.
Your signature image will not exceed 450x150 pixels. For those unfamiliar with pixels, they are roughly half a millimetre in size. Images wider than 450 pixels will stretch the screen out to the side too far on many monitors.
The image in your signature will not exceed 75 KB. Not every one is on high speed and images weighing more than 75 KB will lead to slowdowns for many.
If you are a fan of a rival NHL team, you will not attempt to antagonize Canadiens fans. This is a site for fans of the Montreal Canadiens, and they have the right to a place where they can discuss the team in peace. Biased viewpoints should be expected, so if you must respond, please do so in a respectful manner.
If you are a Canadiens fan, you will not respond to any antagonizing by a fan from a rival team or antagonize them just because they support another team. So long as their posts contribute positively to the discussion and are posted in a respectful manner, they are welcome here.
3. Posts should be made in the appropriate section of the forum. Many pre-existing threads have been eliminated in order to simplify the posting process. Discussion about most Canadiens-related matters can be made in the general State of the Habs thread. Users may generate new threads as they see fit to discuss particular issues, questions, or news. These will be locked and archived if they are not actively being used.
Users who violate the Code of Conduct may receive a warning. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, a user may lose his account temporarily or permanently. Account suspensions will be made at the sole discretion of site administrators. Users may not have more than one account.
