Something is wrong here we are not this bad! this is worse than the last two seasons so something has happened to change the dynamic, even when we were losing in the past there was more pushback than there is now! I personally think that they system is not working and the guys are sick of beating a dead horse it may work in the minors but in the NHL with the players we have now it does not! To top things off MSL is doing some odd stuff with lines and ice time that is probably getting under some of the guys skin. There is something off - perhaps a lack of chemistry / engagement / push. Armia, Evans, Savard, Dvorak all know they are playing on borrowed time re; trade potential so maybe that is weighing on their minds. These guys are supposed to be professionals but you can't ignore the hockey is a business element. The physical element is missing. Seems a lot of players don't want to hit and a bit of fear of injury. It was embarrassing to watch the Leafs / Habs game last night. Matheson is mostly playing offense and seems frightened to smack someone. We need some bangers with some edge to wake a few guys up. We rally need to find some heart of guys that want to be here. Certainly hope Laine can jell. Never thought I would say this but Pezzetta needs to return to the forward lines.

The UFA’s should be playing for contracts next year , if they’re not retiring or have plans to play in the KHL
What has changed since last year ?
Dach is Back, although he’s struggling
We lost monohan
Kovasevic and Harris gone but I can’t envision that a guy who was healthy scratch ( JK. ) and Harris making that much of a difference
Alex burrows , who we wanted gone , is gone
Enter Robidas as the D coach
So what’s up 🤷♂️
The young players that we are so high on , have they reached their potential so much so that what we see is what we’re going to get

Imagine if we got 100% of Armia every night! he would be a 20- 30 goal guy he has the skill just not the drive.

LOL, they split up CC and Nick in practice today.....not the lines I think many folks were thinking of though? Dach Nick Slaf and then CC Evans Newhook...... first line many work but that second line is going to be interesting to watch! I suppose you never know!

With SJ and Anaheim winning Sunday night , your Montreal Canadiens are officially in last place overall , by them selves . 🤦♂️☹️
Sixty seven ( 67 ) more agonizing games 😖

👆 fair enough but I don’t think 5 more games is going to change much for the good . Even Laine s return , he didn’t change the fortunes of the CBJ so to expect / hope that he will transform the Habs into a playoff / bubble team seems unrealistic

Yeah... Not likely.

CC leads the NHL in goals.....been a long time since we had a player who stood any chance at doing that! May not last but at least we have something going on!

Random notes... -Slaf was quite the playmaker last night -thankful for Cole and the tear he's on, -Hutson is making rookie mistakes but to be expected, he's already showing brilliance as well -Primeau is just not able to help keep the team in the game it seems.

Interesting that Slaf only has 1 goal on the year. 10 assists in 13 games. Would be nice to see him score a bit more. On the flip side, Caufield!! leads the NHL in goals but has only 1 assist. Last year he had his first balanced season (28g, 37a) after always been heavier on the goals, looks like this year is a return to form, lol. I didnt expect MSL to try Dach-Suzuki-Slaf and leave CC on his own line but it seemed to work (for one game anyway). I presume that at some point Dach will be moved back to centre, unless we're trying to find someone to take that spot... would be nice to have the option of Monahan there, just saying...

Yep draft picks are nice but so are really good players...... oh well what is done is done is suppose once Laine gets back he will slot in somewhere and even things out a bit. At the moment I am more concerned with our system and goaltenders!

Ya, a healthy Monahan would be awesome right about now but I am also excited to see Laine sooner than later.
