Completely random but I was looking back at the 2015 draft. That year, if you remember, boston had THREE picks in a row 13, 14 and 15. They got Debrusk who has been a decent player + Zboril and Senyshyn (combined for less than 100 nhl games).... but who went 16, 17 and 18th? Barzal, Connor and Chabot. Lol. Couldnt have happened to a more deserving team (well, maybe the leafs)  |

Connor Bedard sustained an undisclosed injury for the Chicago Blackhawks in the first period of a 4-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Friday. Bedard was injured after taking a hit from Devils defenseman Brendan Smith at 10:42. Bedard crossed into the offensive zone and was checked by Smith in the slot. He left the ice with his hand at his mouth.

👆and nick foligno fought Brendan smith - there was a faceoff , they lined up next to each other and dropped the gloves . The hit by smith on bedard didn’t look dirty, bedard crossed the blue line and smith stood him up, I didn’t see an elbow to the head
it looks like the follow through his shoulder may have got him in the mouth .

I would never have thought that the Winnepeg Jets would ever have been a top 5 team this season, let alone ever leading the league at ANY point during this season. The NHL is a close league these days - little seperation between winning and losing.

Foligno broke his finger fighting Smith for his clean hit on Bedard. I guess Chicago will be looking for a Semenko or McSorley clone when Bedard returns.
