Don Granato reflected on the loss of forward Jack Quinn in the aftermath of the Buffalo Sabres’ 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks inside SAP Center on Saturday. Quinn left the game with 12:53 remaining in the third period after a collision with the boards forced him to fall awkwardly on his left leg. “Disturbing when you see a guy (get injured) that means so much and works every day, competes every day, and he’s such a big part of us going, us playing our identity, being ourselves,” Granato said. “It was devastating to see him go down the way he did. Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn underwent surgery on Monday for a lower-body injury and is expected to be out for approximately eight weeks, Buffalo has placed forward Jack Quinn on injured reserve. |

Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed forward Mason Shaw to a two-way contract ($775,000/$400,000) for the remainder of the 2023-24 season and reassigned forward Adam Beckman to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Shaw will practice with Minnesota on Friday, Feb. 16, at TRIA Rink in St. Paul.

Austin Mathews 3 goals against Philly He has 45 goals in 51 games …. Will he hit 70 ? He definitely seems to be on a mission after an "off" year last year ("only" 40 goals). I think - if he stays healthy - 60 is a foregon conclusion. I dont know if he can keep it up & score 70 or more. I hate the guy but he's a hell of a goal scorer. No denying that. |

Charges against Boston Bruins star Milan Lucic dropped. The Bruins player faced assault charges after an altercation with his wife on Nov. 18, 2023. Voila. And everyone went out for a beer , or two, afterwards . now because he plays for 5he Bruins, who are a playoff team , he’ll be in the line up as quickly as possible like nothing ever happened My understanding is the wife invoked some marital provision that meant she didn't have to testify against him,, forcing them to drop charges. Can only hope it doesn't come back to bite her in the future on his next drinking binge. |
