I doubt we see Reaves fight much more going forward. I think he's definitely feeling the effects of all those head shots. The guy needs to hang them up yesterday.

What a waste of a roster space.

NHL reporting that viewership is down for the 2nd consecutive week. Maybe they should consider making their product more available to the fans rather than blacking them out on a regular basis.

Yup, getting harder to find a game. For sure. Doesn't help any being force fed the Leafs in the most populated area of Canada. I have zero interest in watching American teams from out West in meaningless games to the East standings. And now if you want to watch games "legally" you have to subscribe to different suppliers. The brains at the top are getting too greedy and fans are starting to get turned off unsurprisingly.

Well, I'm on a fixed income and certainly can't afford subscriptions to anything, (what I call the "movie channels), so I get the games where I can.

Agree 100%. I want to watch Habs' games (I want to be able to access all of them). I want to stream them (I will never own a cable package again). I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for this. Right now that is not possible. I can't even watch a stream on Saturday night on CBC. It's always the stupid Leafs.

There was ONE season, like... 10-12 years ago where I could pay $2.99 (or something close to that) +tax to RDS to stream an individual game. And they had ALL of them. It was awesome. Home on a Tuesday night? Drop $3 for a good quality, legal stream.

Rogers and Bell have a $60 NHL Centre Ice package - French language feed (A lot cheaper than paying some $300 or more for the full english centre ice package). The dialogue in French doesn't bother me as I can pick up some elements. It plays the Habs and / or Ottawa games with no blackouts.

I might buy that this weekend!

I use to have RDS awhile ago and it cost me $5.00 a month but they ended up blocking out the games for the GTA, which really pissed me off, so i dropped it. Not sure if that's changed but i would certainly want a guarantee the games are available in my area before ever signing up again. Currently i use a stream that costs me $90.00 US for the year ( they do also have monthly), that gives me access to all games League wide both home and away feeds, including pre season and playoffs. Decent quality. streampass.org is the site and you need to select the NHL portion only, as it does cover all other major sports. Been using it for 4 years now without an issue and it allows me to stream from anywhere, and i also share it with a couple family members. They would need your login info to gain access. I know sharing these sites use to be taboo on the old forum but i don't see an issue with it here.

I tried RDS before the NHL center ice french package and just got p'd at the blackouts in Ontario regions. There are a few IPTV rogues out there but you need a hardware box that costs about $90 and then you can stream for $10-$15 a month and get everything movies off apple, prime, netflix - I tried it and the quality isn't bad but after a while it just got stale

Haven't tried it myself but I don't see why this approach wouldn't work for you guys as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/1c6zw5k/comment/lq41cnp/Using a VPN of your choice to sign up and pay for NHL.tv should do the trick. Sure, it's a bit of a hassle and you'd also need a reliable VPN for streaming the games (extra cost), but blackouts wouldn't be an issue any longer. The dude on reddit used France because blackouts are essentially non-existent over there. I'm not quite clear on the whole AppleTV thing though, technically this shouldn't be a requirement to get it to work... any web browser or streaming app/device should be fine once the account is active and paid for. I'm a regular customer myself and they currently charge ~110 EUR for all regular season and playoff games (from Germany, not sure if their pricing differs for other countries), which is a really good deal. There are some blackouts over here as well, but it's no big deal because local networks/streaming services usually don't carry a whole lot of NHL games anyway, and if they do it's rarely a Habs game (in Germany at least).

Just the fact that Potato Head is 3rd on that list is reason enough to ignore it.
